this house is clad in traditional Shou Sugi Ban, charred, larch. we elevated the living area by locating over the garage to gain mountain and lake views over the neighboring house. the living pavilion also provides shelter to the courtyard from the wind, while the large stacker doors allow you to remain connected to the view.
